Take It Slow, Take It Easy On Me
Posted October 2nd, 2007 | Filed under: General |The first brush I’ve had with romance happened back in kindergarten, when my bashful affections were directed towards a boy named Maruli. I knew I did not stand a chance with him; he was, after all, the fastest runner in class—the jock, if you will—and I was the quiet girl kept within the top echelons of the social circle by the popular girls, to provide brains to an otherwise academically dull and creatively-challenged group.
As we were waiting for our rides home at the end of one fine day at school, I turned around to find that Maruli had snagged my prized Aladdin water bottle, admiring the art on the horrendous purple cylinder. Despite the tachycardia brought on by my little infatuation—he is holding on to something that belongs to me, me—I kept my head on and decided to play hard to get.
“Give it back!” I hissed, reaching out to snatch the bottle from his hand.
Bigger, taller and faster than me, he lifted an arm over his head, rendering the bottle out of my reach. He raised an eyebrow and gave me his trademark cocky lopsided smile. “What’s the problem, D?” he asked phlegmatically. “I thought I was your boyfriend.”
Needless to say, I was mortified, but somehow maintained a cool head and managed to sting back with a snappy “Ew, you’re gross!” A miracle comeback, I know, despite flushing uncontrollably and feeling incredibly flustered. Did he say he was my boyfriend? I did not recall approving such an agreement, but hey, whatever.
I last said goodbye to Maruli when we graduated second grade and have lost touch with him since (it would not have worked out, anyway), but I bet he still runs at gale force speeds. I bet he still charms oblivious lovelorn girls with that cocky lopsided smile. I bet.

Caleb - It was pretty crazy. I don’t know if I’m digging the blonde look on Cameron. As for the fonts: really? Are you sure you just don’t have something against serifs?

Yeah, I didn’t think it looked that great on her either, but I’m hoping that they won’t be _too_ involved with the cases, considering the departmental changes and all. Though I have to admit it was neat that Chase butted in during the operation (and since it was the right answer, it backs up the whole “learned everything he could” line from the finale).
I agree with the Chase thing being very cool. M and I have never been hot for him in previous seasons, but oh my goodness. We squealed as if he were the last male of the species. I don’t know, however, how I feel about House getting a new team; if that Cam-carbon copy she-devil (number 13, I think?) ends up being part of the team, I may end up watching the rest of the season with squinted eyes.

Yeah. I kinda doubt she’ll make it though. Though, I only came back in to say OS X Leopard in October. http://www.apple.com/macosx/leopard/ (Did you say you were upgrading when this happened? Of course, in the next couple months, something else will be upgraded and blah blah blah. Apple is funny like that ;p)

Caleb - Yep yep, I know about Leopard coming out in Oct, which is why I hope they will be done tinkering with it by the time I come back to SG for a new MacBook in December. I’m through with white plastic-resin laptops, though–am going to blow Xmas money on the black, so people will see how emo I really am.
