When everything else around you falls apart, just remember that you will always have tea. Its vast repertoire for comfort-giving may be adjusted to suit your specific emotional needs: from the rock-solid strength of earl grey to help you stay awake at night, to the light and aromatic jasmine to softly lull you to sleep.
(Funny how merely the names—earl grey and jasmine—directly correspond to the names of people you might turn to for strength and consolation, respectively)
I would like to write tea a haiku to officially profess my steadfast love for it, and then scale a fence at midnight to wish it good night, or whatever it is that torn lovers do. Tea is wonderful with honey, makes for a perfect accompaniment to chocolate biscotti, and is this close to solving the Millennium Prize Problems.
The first week of the new school year is going along swimmingly, and I hereby declare that the next few months of academic obligations shall make for a fantastic semester. I seethe with much cheer—so much, in fact, that you might mistake me for a real human being with an actual capacity for happiness.
